5 Reasons Why Network Marketers Feel Like They Are Sinking And How To Handle This

Network Marketers or MLMers the world over are trained to move their business forward in very similar ways. They start out with lots of enthusiasm and talk to anybody who has ears to hear their message. The problems begin when they do not get the sign ups they had foreseen within certain time frames. It is at this point that the men are seperated from the boys. Those with a clear vision of where they want to be, continue despite the difficulties and in time see the fruits of their hard work. Majority of network marketers end up feeling they are fighting the current and these are the reasons why;

1) Unrealistic expectations - People tend to under estimate the kind of work required for network marketing. They assume that since they have joined their opportunity, automatically their near and dear will fall in line. This is rarely the case. Many also lack the patience to develop sound relationships with their cold market before they present their business opportunity.
How is this handled? MLMers should always know that network marketing is a long term business and not a get-rich-quick scheme. They need to understand people and listen to them closely always. They should seek guidance and use the right marketing tools available at their disposal. Keeping a positive mindset is the key.

2) Moving around too much - Most network marketers have been in more than one opportunity for various reasons. This constant movement is not good for long term revenue. Basically, network marketing opportunities are similar in nature and compensation and moving from one to another only makes a person less financially stable and much more disappointed in their efforts.
How is this handled? Once a person has studied their network marketing opportunity and is satisfied that it is a good fit for them, they should stick with it for a reasonable period of time. They should also find out what makes their upper level champions keep producing and pick out a mentor from among them to guide them along their path.

3) Refusing to work in a team - Some network marketers feel they can go it alone. They view their colleagues as competitors and avoid them at all costs. They also do not want to share their experiences and prefer to work solo. This is very detrimental in network marketing because it is a team sport.
How is this handled? Aspiring network marketers should know that it is impossible to succeed in that business venture without the success of their down-lines. Teamwork forms the best basis for personal development and self knowledge and these are the all-important ingredients for success. Working with like-minded network marketers can make the journey more enjoyable.

4) Cutting corners - It is very sad to note that quite a large number of network marketers use unsavory business practices to get new signups. These tactics are designed to paint an unrealistically rosy picture of the opportunity at hand. Many innocent people fall for this trick.
How is this handled? It is of utmost importance to respect the time a person gives to hear the opportunity. It is only fair to present it as realistically as possible. It is also good to remember that deception always catches up and this breach of trust can lead to massive attrition from your business in the long run. Keep it real always.

5) Failure to use online resources - traditional network marketing opportunities emphasis face to face meetings. This is a good way to build trust but it is limited in its reach into the vast market beyond.
How is this handled ? It is good practice to combine offline practices with online resources designed to boost the number of people reached on a daily basis. With the right generic tool, the results can be dramatically improved over time.

If both old and new network marketers can use these few pointers as useful guidelines they can patiently grow their business over time in a realistic and practical way. Let me know your thoughts on this.
